Sonatrach is pursuing discussions with Occidental Petroleum Corp. (OXY) and Sempra Energy (SRE) to secure additional LNG import capacity in the Gulf of Mexico and on the U.S. east coast, in addition of an agreement with Norway's StatoilHydro to supply a LNG import terminal in the U.S.
